How many times have you bought a lipstick, gone home, felt the anticipation mounting (dayum imma look so good), applied the lipstick, and looked like this...
I've had this happen to me so many times that I have a lipstick graveyard - lipsticks I don't use that are buried in my drawer never to see the light of day...until now...call me Victor Frankenstein because I'm bringing these back to life! (Don't you love high school lit refs? I do!)
If you have lipsticks you don't use, try using them as a cream blush. The lipstick gives a nice hint of color and its consistency and wearability is similar to a regular cream blush. An added bonus is that the lipstick tube allows for easy application and portability.

The color swatch is unreliable, sometimes the lipstick is sealed so you can't try it on, or you do a skin test and it looks great on your skin, but not on your lips.I've had this happen to me so many times that I have a lipstick graveyard - lipsticks I don't use that are buried in my drawer never to see the light of day...until now...call me Victor Frankenstein because I'm bringing these back to life! Blended
Apply a couple of dots to the apples of your cheeks and blend with a brush or washed/sanitized fingers.
Voila! A flush of color.
Save those old lipsticks and see if they work better on your cheeks than your lips.
